Steve

• Higher back rest
• Use mesh
• Indentation or cut out on seating area
• Placement in ground

Douglas

• I really like the environmentally friendliness of the product through the reuse of old water pipes. 
• The use of mesh is a good idea but the thickness has to be considered as mesh bends with excess weight on it. 
• Another thing to consider is filleting or champhering the edges of the pipe so people don’t get cut. Furthermore, the connection between the pipe and the mesh must be flush as the mesh is made from sharp metal wire that can easily cut through skin which would not be the best thing for a seat.

• Phosphorescent lighting cant last long
• make it look  more aesthetically pleasing
• Pipes received have barcodes, markings and scratches on them

Weekly Progress One: Sense of Place

Peer 1: The Grass furniture concept is very interesting but you would have to see how practical it is. I also like the glowing chair idea.


Peer 2: Dont really think the grass furniture will work, t will be hard to maintain.

Peer 3: PVC pipes sound like a good idea

Tutor: The grass WILL NOT be practical. Stick with the chair.
